NCS Most Well Rounded Wrestler Scholarship

The San Ramon Valley Rotary Club is pleased to announce that it will be awarding a $1,000 scholarship to the most well rounded NCS college bound senior wrestler.

a. The scholarship is limited to a college bound wrestler in the 12th grade of any high school under the authority of the North Coast Section. The scholarship committee is looking for a well rounded wrestler. There is no one criteria that will either secure or eliminate a wrestler from consideration. Relevant factors may include success on the mat, a successful academic record, leadership, community service, financial need, etc. The absence of any one factor will not remove a candidate from consideration and thus all wrestlers in the senior year of high school are encouraged to apply.

b. Feel free to include an essay of 500 words or less discussing further any of the above factors or any other factor that you believe qualifies you for this scholarship. This essay may, but need not, include supporting material (such as newspaper articles, pictures, certificates, etc.)

c. Please include at least one letter from a coach, teacher, employer or other individual who can discuss your merits.

d. The winner will be announced by March 30, 2012.

e. The winner will need to attend a meeting of the San Ramon Valley Rotary Club (held on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. in San Ramon) to receive the scholarship award. Exact date to be determined.
